An architectural photographer just having a fun day out in Perth

Some days, plain and simple, you just have to get out there and have fun. Architectural photography is about telling a story. That story is sometimes told beginning to end in a single image. Sometimes it is a longer narrative where relationships between detail, space and light are slowly revealed and reinforced image by image.

Sometimes I like to take a step away from story telling all together. This day out, other than enjoying some beautiful Autumn sunshine was about taking a step forward, getting in for a closer look. And that’s what I did with some of the most recent architectural additions to Perth’s city centre. No sweeping views this time, it’s all about playing games with shape, texture, colour, context. That’s when I have most fun with a camera.
